Founder’s Note

Hello, I'm Nayamat Bawa, Founder & Psychotherapist at La Esperanza. As a psychotherapist with 14 years of experience, I've always envisioned a practice that embodies the essence of hope, healing, and connection.

La Esperanza is the realization of that dream. Inspired by the beauty of nature and the expressive power of art, I've created a space that nurtures the mind, body, and soul.

Here, you'll find a sanctuary that fosters growth, self-discovery, and transformation.

About Us

“Where your inner world
finds space to speak.”

La Esperanza Mental Health is a one-of-a-kind, holistic space where psychiatry and psychotherapy meet emotional depth and compassionate care.

Since its inception in October 2020, amidst the pandemic, it has been a non-judgmental and compassionate space for one and all to explore the pained and neglected part of the self.

The aim is to support you through emotional distress, trauma, crisis and daily life struggles and help you heal and thrive.

Frequently
Asked
Questions
Signs may include persistent sadness, anxiety, irritability, or difficulty coping with daily activities.
You can book a session through our [online form], by email, or by giving us a call. If you prefer a particular therapeutic style, let us know and we’ll match you with the right therapist.
Everyone’s journey is different. Many people start with ten sessions and then check in with their therapist to see what’s next. We’ll create a plan that supports your pace and your goals.
There’s no perfect way to prepare, just come as you are. You might find it helpful to:
  • Stay open to the process
  • Be honest about how you’re really feeling
This is a space for you.
Couples therapy creates a safe space to talk, listen, and reconnect. You’ll explore challenges, build understanding, and learn practical tools to navigate your relationship together.
Yes, absolutely. Everything you share in therapy is confidential. The only exception is if there’s a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, in those rare cases, we’re required to act to keep everyone safe.
Friends can be wonderful support, but therapists bring something unique:
  • Professional training
  • Objectivity and a judgment-free space
  • A focus solely on you and your well-being
It’s not about choosing one or the other — it’s about giving yourself dedicated space to heal and grow.
Some people find clarity in just a few sessions. Others stay longer to explore deeper patterns. You and your therapist will check in along the way to make sure the process feels right for you.
Most clients benefit from one or two sessions a week, allowing space to reflect and integrate. If you’re going through something intense, we can discuss what frequency best supports your needs.
