Individual therapy

Psychotherapy is a deep dive into your psyche and your inner world. It is an exploration that translates into better relationships, internal peace and a healthy internal space where we live. Therapy empowers you with self-awareness… Individual therapy: If you are suffering from anxiety, depression, work-related stress, grief, a setback or overwhelming thoughts, this is your place. The therapy approach is eclectic and would be curated to your needs. Psychotherapy is often called talk therapy or the talking cure. It's essential that you seek help at the right time, sooner than later, before you feel drowned in emotional distress.

How does it work?

In the initial phase of therapy, the focus is on knowing who you are. Life experiences build our perceptions and internal world, thus taking up much space and holding great importance in therapy. For the work to start, it is essential that you build a therapeutic alliance with your therapist, which is safe for you to dwell deeper into your thoughts and emotions. You will be in the driver's seat while the therapist and you set the route on the map together. Most of the therapeutic work happens between sessions. Therapy is thus empowering you as an individual.

Couple and Family Therapy

A troubled relationship or family can be one of the biggest disturbances in one's life. La Esperanza is a space that understands couples and their needs. Couple therapy aims to help resolve conflicts and establish healthy relationships. Couples will learn to communicate their needs effectively and also emotionally feel more connected to one another.

Therapy usually aims at bringing partners closer together or ending a partnership intelligently. In resolving dilemmas, partners learn to have compassion for their partner and themselves, how to constructively manage their negative feelings, and how to rekindle the feelings that originally attracted them to each other.

How does it work?

The first few sessions are when the couple steps in together. This helps the therapist identify the dysfunction of the relationship, as well as the communication styles and love languages. The gaps, the strengths and the distress all come to light in the initial sessions. Often, this would be followed by individual sessions in which the couple would express themselves freely to the therapist without feeling judged or fear of hurting the partner. Resolving and accepting is the aim of the sessions. It may also lead to an amicable separation.
